Mountain Big Sagebrush grows in mountain and foothill communities. It occurs in elevation from 3,000’ to 10,000’ but is more commonly found from 6,000’ to 9,000’. Occurs higher in elevation and in higher annual precipitation zones than either Wyoming or Basin Big Sagebrush.
