Wild Bergamot is a tall, fragrant perennial commonly used for beautification, cultured flower beds and flower arrangements. Also know bee balm, Wild Bergamot  is a wildflower in the mint family Lamiaceae and is  widespread and abundant in much of North America. This plant, with showy summer-blooming pink to lavender flowers, is often used as a honey plant, medicinal plant, and garden ornamental. Wild Bergamot displays distinct gray to green leaves and pink to lavender-colored petals.

Plant in areas of full or partial sun, blooms July-September in most areas. Excellent for attracting beneficial pollinators. Grows well in nurseries and neutral soil types. Can grow up to 4′ tall in ideal conditions, but averages 20-36″ in most zones. Native.

Recommended seeding rate is 1-2 lb.s per acre.
