We have been super busy this winter installing new infrastructure and storage space, trying hard to beat the spring seed rush.
We’ve added two more silos (for a grand total of 14) and the drag conveyors, augers, drying fans and control panels necessary to integrate them into our computerized seed conditioning plant. These two tanks are “flat bottom” tanks, a departure from the “hopper bottom” tanks we have built in the past. They have drying floors and fans and sweepways. One holds 2 Million pounds, the other holds about 500,000 pounds.
These two new silos will be dedicated this spring to a new variety of oats and triticale.
