Contains species that are a source of omega-3 fatty acids. Ideal for large acreages or small backyard plots and can also be used as a cover crop.

Chicken Pasture Mix is a mixture of clovers and legumes selected for cold and heat tolerance in all states. This mix produces excellent chicken forage that is naturally low-growing and nutrient-dense. It also contains common flax, a known source of omega-3 fatty acids.

Chicken Pasture Mix is ideal for large acreages or small backyard plots. It can also be used as a cover crop.

Seeding Rate: 1 lb./1000 ft for small areas or 20 lbs. per acre

  • 15% White Dutch Clover
  • 15% Strawberry Clover
  • 15% Alfalfa
  • 15% Field Pea
  • 10% Crimson Clover
  • 10% Common Flax

Establishment: We recommend you let Chicken Pasture Mix become well established before turning your chickens to pasture it. If it is pastured too soon your chickens will consume ungerminated seed and pull seedlings up before they are established. Once established, consider rotational grazing and leave enough plant matter for regrowth.
