Seeding Rate:
- For New Lawn: 4-5 lbs per 1000 square feet
- For Overseeding Existing Lawn: 3-4 lbs/1000 square feet
Best Seeding Dates: Spring and early fall
Seeding Depth: about ¼ inch
BEST MANAGEMENT PRACTICES INCLUDE:
- Keep your mowing height between 1-3 inches
- Apply fertilizer in split applications in both the spring and the fall. Recommended amount is 2-6 lbs per 100 square feet every year.
- Depending on where you live or the climate of your year irrigating may be necessary to ensure survival during periods of extended drought
- To keep weed under control it is recommended to apply pre-emergent and post-emergent herbicides at labeled rates to control weeds
- To keep disease under control apply fungicides at labeled rates to control disease
- If insects are a problem in your area apply pesticides at labeled rates to control insect problems
