Luoma is a top selling Winter Triticale. It features reduced awn expression (awnletted) and high tonnage of plant matter. It an excellent choice for green feed or silage and does well grown on dry land. Luoma is also a good choice for use in a double cropping rotation, taking off as silage and following with a second crop.
Luoma is named after Sulo Luoma, a seed grower from Three Hills with a lifelong love of agriculture and learning. He was a long-time grower of triticale who began producing it in the 1970s.
