Brundage wheat (Triticum aestivum) is a beardless soft white winter wheat. Dryland and irrigated yield potential of Brundage is excellent, as is the end use quality. Brundage is used extensively for both grass hay and silage production, and for grain production. It is popular and had broad geographic use. Brundage wheat is a standard ingredient in our fall forage mixes and has been in use by Great Basin Seed for decades. It is tried, proven and well liked as a workhorse wheat.
Brundage is a soft white common winter wheat with excellent straw strength that is adapted to intermediate to high rainfall dryland areas of the Pacific Northwest. It also performs well in irrigated regions. It has moderate winter hardiness.
